Almond puff fingers

Sweat: 1%
Sweet: 99%

Another no-effort-great-results-recipe. I think everyone who bake with puff pastry will across having left-overs in the freezer. When the time comes for a quick clean up, this is one way to make use of your left-over puff pastry. Of course, if you are not into like sweet stuff, use cheese as a substitute to create a savoury version. Either one will make a great snack!

Ingredients:

Left over puff pastry
Almond flakes
Sugar
1 Egg
Icing sugar for dusting

Methods:

1. Roll out the puff pastry. Lightly egg wash the pastry.
2. Mix almond flakes and sugar together. Sprinkle the sugar and almond mixture over the pastry. Use a sharp knife to cut them into finger-sized pieces.
3. Place baking sheet on the tray. Transfer the almond fingers onto the tray.
4. Place the tray into the freezer for about 15 minutes. At the same time, preheat the oven to 200 degrees C.
5. Take the tray out of the freezer. Bake for 10 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
6. Dust icing sugar over the fingers and serve.
